ABOUT DPY AUCTION YARD

HONESTY, INTEGRITY, AND EXCEPTIONAL PERSONAL SERVICE

OVER 70 YEARS OF COZZI FAMILY TRADITION

The Dos Palos Y Auction Yard is located on Hwy 33, approximately 1/4 mile South of Hwy 152. Dos Palos Y Auction Yard is a multi-generational business with over 70 years of history in livestock marketing. Operated by our family, the Cozzi’s, this auction yard is a testament to decades of hard work and customer-focused service.

Our origins trace back to a blend of passion and a desire to better serve local customers. The late Tony J. Cozzi, who managed both milking cows on our family’s dairy and farming with his brothers on Cozzi Road, also auctioneered for a neighboring livestock market.

A NEED FOR HONESTY AND INTEGRITY IN THE MARKET

In 1949 Tony recognized the need for another livestock market in the area, one that was built on honesty and integrity, so he and his business partner took the opportunity and started construction.

In March of 1950 they opened for business, naming the barn after the "Y" junction of nearby Highway 33 and Highway 152. A year later, he constructed his home next door, ensuring he could always be close to his business and customers.

Today, our auction is managed by the second, third, and fourth generations of the Cozzi family—Joel, Joey, Jarod, and Justin.

COMMITED TO PROVIDING HONEST SERVICE TO CLIENTS

Sharing the same beginnings of working at the auction alongside our fathers, we remain passionate about livestock and committed to providing honest service to our clients.

With more than 70 years at the same location, we have built a reputation for honesty, integrity, and exceptional personal service. We hold two cattle auctions weekly, on Mondays and Thursdays, and work hard to provide the best markets and service possible to the dairy community, cattle ranchers, and individual raisers.

In October of 2019, we expanded our services to include selling sheep and goats on the first and third Wednesday of each month.
